My Long Ride - An Introduction

Sorry about the delay - technical problems getting text into the blog (can't mouse-click to establish or move the cursor within the text entry box) are now (mostly) sorted out or at least worked around - and so on with the show!

So........ what makes a man in relatively comfortable, overweight middle-age suddenly take on something as ridiculous as cycling from Land's End to John O'Groats?

It all stems, I suppose from the inreasingly symbiotic relationship that has developed between Andover Careers Action (the 'professional/management/skilled/whatever' Job Club/Self Help Group/whatever with which I'm involved) and Breathtakers OB Trust (a truly inspirational charity www.breathtakers.org.uk) whom we've got to know both through networking events and through both organisations being based at The Wolversdene Club in Andover.)

A.C.A. got involved with helping Breattakers out with some IT work and some streamlining of their business practices.  Lynne Thompson, founder and CEO of Breathtakers and all-round human dynamo, then offered us some pro bono life coaching as she added this to her impressive range of skills.

The first think Lynne asked me to do in our first session was to tell her something I'd always wanted to do, but never told anyone.........It probably doesn't take a genius to work out my response!

I'm rapidly running out of time on the library computer, so I'll close here, and tell you some more (and maybe improve the aesthetics of the blog a bit) next time!
